One of South Africa’s biggest clubs, Orlando Pirates, has reached an agreement with Sihle Nduli, one of the standout performers of the season from Stellenbosch FC.
The defensive midfielder had also attracted interest from Kaizer Chiefs, but Pirates managed to convince the player to join them, pulling off a transfer coup over their rivals.
Nduli’s current contract will expire on June 30, after which the deal will be made fully official.
In addition, Pirates are reportedly looking to offload striker Zakhele Lepasa, who has not made a single appearance this season. The forward is expected to return to his former club, TS Galaxy, in what could be an emotional reunion.
With the signing of Nduli, Orlando Pirates are also aiming to strengthen their attacking options. The club has begun talks with Fiston Mayele, a key player for FC Pyramids, who played a crucial role in eliminating Pirates from the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
Kaizer Chiefs are also reportedly interested in Mayele. The striker could significantly bolster the attacking strength of either team.
