Algeria and Slovenia are reinforcing their distant cooperation through a partnership with SkyLabs.
Dejan Gacnik, Technical Director of SkyLabs d.o.o., announced that bilateral meetings were held between the Algerian Space Agency (ASAL), the Slovenian Space Office, and representatives from both countries’ space industries.
During these meetings, a plan for collaboration in space technologies and applications was established.
“I was fortunate to discuss concrete cooperation opportunities with the Algerian Space Agency, focusing on mutual interests in satellite technology with Dr. Mohammed Kameche, Director of the Satellite Development Centre, and Dr. Habib Mahi, Director of the Centre of Technologies at ASAL.”
“We reinforced our cooperation objectives with ASAL’s Director General, Dr. Azzedine Oussedik,” said Dejan Gacnik, Technical Director of SkyLabs d.o.o.
“Moreover, I would like to acknowledge the presence of her Excellency, Ms. Urška Kramberger Mendek, Slovenian ambassador in Algeria, who accompanied the Slovenian delegation. Her involvement emphasized the strategic significance of this collaboration,” he added.
This collaboration between the two countries will soon be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), highlighting its strategic importance for both nations.
