Newcastle United signed Brentford’s striker Yoane Wissa on the final day of the transfer window.
After Alexander Isak’s £120 million move to Liverpool left a gap in their attacking line, Newcastle United decided to strengthen that position by paying £55 million for the DR Congo international.
Yoane Wissa has already proven himself in the Premier League, demonstrating multiple times how dangerous a forward he can be with a total of 49 goals.
Last season, he formed an outstanding partnership with Mbuemo, and the duo virtually carried the team’s attacking load. Brentford finished the season in the upper part of the table thanks to their contributions.
As a result, Brentford earned nearly €140 million from the sale of these two players during this transfer window.
Additionally, they strengthened their squad by signing key players such as Dango Ouattara and Antoni Milambo.
