Raphael Onyedika, who has been delivering outstanding performances for Club Brugge, is attracting increasing interest from major clubs as time goes on.
According to recent transfer rumors, West Ham United has now joined the race to sign the Nigerian midfielder.
Onyedika’s versatility and strong all-round displays had previously caught the attention of European giants such as Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and AC Milan.
WEST HAM WANT TWO YOUNG TALENTS FROM BRUGGE
Now, West Ham United is planning to bolster their midfield by signing both Onyedika and Swiss international Ardon Jashari, aiming to form a highly competitive central unit.
The chemistry between these two players is believed to be very strong, and since they are considered core parts of Club Brugge’s squad, the Belgian side may be reluctant to sell them both at the same time. Alternatively, they may demand an astronomical fee from West Ham United.
Speaking on the West Ham Way Podcast, a former West Ham recruitment official commented on the potential transfer of Onyedika:
“Another target from Club Brugge is Nigerian defensive midfielder Raphael Onyedika. There’s a lot of competition for this player. It’s still early days, but the club is in the process of identifying its key targets ahead of what is expected to be a very busy summer transfer window.”
Onyedika is under contract with Club Brugge until 2027, and the Belgian club is reportedly expecting a transfer fee in the range of $20–25 million for the Super Eagles star.
