Galatasaray’s star striker Victor Osimhen has donated 5 million naira to Esther Omolola Mensah, who is battling breast cancer.
Known on Twitter as “Aunty Esther,” she usually works as an online food vendor, but this time she was seen crying in pain and pleading for help.
In the video that spread rapidly across social media, she was shown suffering on a hospital bed, revealing the part of her chest severely affected by cancer.
Following the video, several good Samaritans stepped in, took her to the hospital, and contributed to the donation campaign. Among all contributors, Victor Osimhen made the largest donation.
Osimhen is currently dealing with an injury, which caused him to miss the Champions League match against Union Saint-Gilloise.
His recovery process is now being closely monitored ahead of the derby against Fenerbahçe on December 1.
As this match may be one of the most important games of the season, having Osimhen ready will be extremely significant.
