The first week of CAF Confederation Cup matches has concluded, with all eight matches ending decisively—no draws were recorded.
In Group A, Tanzanian side Simba secured a 1-0 victory against Angolan club FC Bravos do Maquis, thanks to a goal from Jean Ahoua. In the other match of the group, Tunisian team Sfaxien suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Algerian club Constantine, with Brahim Dib scoring the decisive goal in the 81st minute.
In Group B, Malian side Stade Malien defeated South African league third-place team Stellenbosch 2-0. Haman Mandjan scored a stunning goal from outside the box, followed by a penalty converted by Daoudo Coulibaly. In Group D, Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek started strong with a 2-0 victory over Mozambican side Black Bulls. Egypt’s Al-Masry triumphed over Nigerian club Enyimba, with midfielder Mahmoud Hamada scoring both goals.
