To strengthen their attacking line, Manchester United have increased their offer for Cameroonian winger Bryan Mbeumo — who had a standout season last year — to £60 million.
Previously, the Red Devils had submitted a £45 million bid, which was rejected.
United, who finished last season dangerously close to the relegation zone, made their first summer signing in the forward department by bringing in Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million.
Although United have the financial capacity to complete the deal, they still need to convince the player. Mbeumo is highly popular across Europe, and several major clubs are seriously interested in signing him.
Last season, Mbeumo scored 20 goals and registered 8 assists in 38 matches.
At just 25 years old, he remains a player with significant potential for further development.
