In Atalanta’s 1-0 UEFA Champions League victory over Marseille, Atalanta star Ademola Lookman had a tense exchange with head coach Ivan Jurić.
Jurić substituted Lookman in the second half for Yunus Musah, and as the Nigerian forward walked toward the bench, the coach appeared visibly angry, leading to a heated argument between the two.
Following the incident, which quickly spread on social media, the Nigerian football community began questioning Jurić’s attitude toward the player. Fans also expressed concern over the treatment their star has been receiving at the club.
During the confrontation, Jurić was seen making physical contact by pushing Lookman on the shoulder. The forward reacted with frustration and walked away from the scene. The episode has once again raised speculation about Lookman’s potential departure from Atalanta.
Lookman had previously experienced tensions with former coach Gian Piero Gasperini and even wanted to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
Now, with growing friction under the new manager, the possibility of his exit has resurfaced.
