Tottenham’s £50 million bid for Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus has been rejected.
Tottenham, who qualified for the UEFA Champions League after winning the Europa League last season, are looking to strengthen their squad and make a strong start to the upcoming campaign.
West Ham are open to selling Kudus but are demanding a fee close to the £65 million release clause in his contract.
Due to interest from several major clubs, West Ham are playing hardball in the negotiations.
Chelsea are also among the clubs interested in Kudus, but Tottenham are believed to be leading the race, as the player is reportedly favouring a move to Spurs.
