Tottenham Hotspur, who are close to reaching the UEFA Europa League final this season, are interested in Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface.
The Nigerian striker played a key role in helping his team win the Bundesliga title last season.
However, according to a report from Give Me Sport, Bayer Leverkusen are open to parting ways with Boniface during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Tottenham currently have several attacking options, including Heung-Min Son, Brennan Johnson, James Maddison, Richarlison, Timo Werner, Dominic Solanke, and Mathys Tel. Although they are numerically well-equipped in attack, the club is looking to add more quality to the front line.
Tottenham had already shown interest in Boniface last year but ended up signing Solanke from Bournemouth instead.
Boniface is reportedly more open to leaving Leverkusen if head coach Xabi Alonso departs the club.
West Ham United are also keen on signing the 24-year-old forward. Despite the heavy interest from Premier League clubs, Boniface has previously stated that he would prefer to play in Spain over England.
Moreover, if he were to join Tottenham, he might not become an immediate starter as he would have to compete with Solanke for a place in the starting eleven.
Despite these challenges, the English club remains highly determined to secure the services of the Nigerian forward.
