Tottenham are keen to sign Brentford forward Yoane Wissa.
The DR Congo international impressed last season alongside teammate Bryan Mbeumo, attracting attention from several Premier League clubs.
Nottingham Forest was among the interested sides, but their official offer in January was rejected.
Brentford Have Already Lost Key Figures This Summer
Brentford are reluctant to lose Wissa this summer as well.
They have already seen manager Thomas Frank leave for Tottenham, captain Christian Nørgaard join Arsenal, and goalkeeper Mark Flekken transfer to Bayer Leverkusen.
On top of that, star player Bryan Mbeumo is also being pursued by Manchester United.
Wissa’s Contract Expires Next Year
Wissa’s current contract expires at the end of this season, and Brentford only have the option to extend it by one more year. This makes a potential transfer increasingly likely.
Tottenham are also close to signing Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus as part of their attacking reinforcements.
If both transfers are completed, the London club will become a much more dangerous side in front of goal.
