Sunderland have signed Moroccan winger Chemsdine Talbi for £18 million plus £2.5 million in potential add-ons.
Talbi was born in Belgium and represented Belgium at youth levels U15, U17, U18, and U19, but later chose to play internationally for Morocco.
Last season, Talbi played 44 games for Club Brugge, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. He also caught attention by scoring two goals in the Champions League.
The player expressed his excitement about playing in the Premier League:
“The lure of playing in the biggest and best league in the world convinced me to join Sunderland.”
“I’m really looking forward to playing in the Premier League. Sunderland has a good project. It’s a very good team with a lot of young players – an exciting squad, and that motivated me to come here.”
