The Sudanese army announced it had destroyed an Emirati cargo plane linked to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) at Nyala Airport, South Darfur. The military stated that its air force targeted RSF positions, including the airport used for receiving arms and evacuating injured fighters.
According to the army, the aircraft was struck during takeoff, resulting in its crash. The military also reported eliminating drones near Nyala and foreign personnel stationed on a building close to Nyala Technical College.
The RSF, in response, accused the army of targeting civilians with barrel bombs in Nyala, causing casualties. A video shared by the RSF featured residents of Sika Hadid neighborhood voicing concerns over frequent bombings in their area.
Additionally, the army claimed it intercepted six RSF drones in El Fasher, North Darfur, while shelling RSF positions in southern parts of the city. Intense clashes continue in El Fasher, a focal point of the ongoing conflict as the RSF aims to gain control over government strongholds in the Darfur region.
