Tottenham Hotspur, one of the three teams with a perfect two wins from two in the Premier League, have already strengthened their squad this summer with signings such as Mohammed Kudus and Kevin Danso.
Now, they are looking to further bolster their attacking options by moving for Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss.
The 21-year-old Moroccan attacker caught plenty of attention last season with his passing ability and accurate shooting. He featured in 37 matches, scoring three goals and providing six assists.
El Khannouss is expected to serve as a solid backup for James Maddison, who has struggled with recurring injuries in recent years.
Although he possesses great potential, El Khannouss is still a very young player. Therefore, Tottenham—who are competing at the highest level of English football—are expected to view him primarily as a valuable rotation option.
On the other hand, his contract runs until 2028, meaning that the transfer fee required to sign him is likely to be quite high.
