The excitement of the Women’s Rugby World Cup kicks off today.
The tournament features 16 teams, with the final scheduled to take place on September 27.
In the initial stage, teams will face each other in group matches.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, after which the tournament will continue under a knockout system.
From African teams, only South Africa will participate in this tournament, competing in Group D.
South Africa’s group also includes Brazil, Italy, and France. The team will face each of these opponents once during the group stage.
South Africa will play their first match against Brazil, followed by matches against Italy and France.
If they manage to advance past the group stage, they will face a team from Group C, which consists of Ireland, Japan, Spain, and New Zealand.
