During an official visit to the Republic of Tunisia, South Africa’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Prof. Blade Nzimande, signed a partnership agreement aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
The partnership focuses on several key areas, including exchange programmes, networking and inter-institutional cooperation, joint research programmes, intellectual property rights, knowledge and skills transfer in innovation, participation in international programmes, and governance.
Through this collaboration, both countries aim to strengthen efforts to develop sustainable solutions to long-standing and emerging continental challenges such as youth unemployment, skills development, healthcare, food sovereignty, water and energy security, climate change and biodiversity loss, and digital transformation.
