The Research and Innovation Partnership Programme between South Africa and Switzerland has been officially launched.
This initiative was established through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed between TIA, the National Research Foundation (NRF), and leading Swiss innovation institutions.
The programme aims to accelerate the transition from research to innovation. By collaborating with Swiss partners and industry stakeholders, it seeks to effectively commercialize new ideas and technologies, generating tangible socio-economic benefits in South Africa and beyond.
Through this agreement, South African innovators will gain access to Swiss expertise, reach global markets, and support the international expansion of local solutions.
As a result, South Africa is set to strengthen its innovation ecosystem, bridge research with commercial opportunities, and position itself as a key player in global knowledge exchange and technological advancement.
