President William Ruto is attending the 24th East African Heads of State Summit in Arusha, Tanzania, alongside other regional leaders. The summit focuses on addressing challenges within the East African Community, accelerating economic integration, improving climate resilience, and tackling insecurity.
Ruto is set to push for the removal of trade barriers, increased cross-border commerce, and enhanced partnerships in energy, agriculture, and digital innovation to create jobs and boost livelihoods.
Discussions will also include initiatives like the South Sudanese Tumaini Initiative and the EAC-led Nairobi process, aimed at restoring peace and security in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and fostering regional stability.
