Two major European clubs are in a transfer battle for Nigeria’s national team goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye.
The Udinese shot-stopper has attracted interest from Premier League side Bournemouth and Italian giants AC Milan.
According to Africafoot, Bournemouth have submitted a €13 million offer for the in-form goalkeeper, who has caught the eye with his impressive performances throughout the season. AC Milan’s interest, however, dates back to 2023, when the Rossoneri attempted to sign him but failed to reach an agreement with Udinese.
Okoye’s current contract runs until 2028. While Udinese would prefer to keep their number one goalkeeper, a tempting offer could change their stance.
If Okoye accepts Milan’s offer, he could reunite with his international teammate Samuel Chukwueze at the San Siro. Given his strong performances this season, Okoye may reach a whole new level playing behind a more solid defensive line.
