Qme, an Egypt-based B2B SaaS startup, has raised $3 million in funding to optimize queue management with artificial intelligence (AI) and reduce waiting times.
AHOY is a regional technology leader offering advanced solutions in logistics, aviation, and traffic management.
Through this partnership, Qme will gain access to cutting-edge technologies and extensive market expertise. The funding was supported by AHOY and a group of angel investors.
Qme is a project aimed at providing a solution to inefficient queuing and outdated appointment systems in the MENA region using AI.
Citizens in the region spend an average of six months of their lives waiting in line. In sectors like healthcare, banking, and public services, 92/percent of appointments are still made via phone calls. This method causes various disruptions and leads to a 31/ percent no-show rate.
Qme launched commercially in the fourth quarter of 2023. Despite this, the company has already served over 100,000 customers in sectors like healthcare, banking, and public services. It has reduced waiting times from 116 minutes to just 14 minutes.
Additionally, it provided alternatives to phone appointment systems and digitized paper-based queuing, saving an estimated 50,000 square meters of paper.
Qme is also part of AHOY’s Startup Builder Initiative, a program that aims to support 10,000 entrepreneurs and 30,000 software developers across the MENA region by 2030.
The program aims to accelerate innovation in critical infrastructure sectors such as transportation, aviation, and smart city development.
