The Fifpro World XI, the only global football award voted for exclusively by professional players, has been announced.
Based on their performances last season, 11 players were selected for the final lineup from the 26 footballers who received the most votes in their positions.
Launched in 2005, the award has seen Lionel Messi achieve the most appearances with 18 selections, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo with 16.
This year’s winners include Moroccan left-back Achraf Hakimi. Additionally, Lamine Yamal has made history as the youngest player ever to be included in the lineup.
The team’s goalkeeper is Gianluigi Donnarumma of Champions League winners PSG. The defensive line features Hakimi alongside teammate Nuno Mendes and Virgil van Dijk from Liverpool.
The midfield consists of Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer, Pedri, and Vitinha. Finally, the attacking trio is formed by young star Lamine Yamal, French forward Kylian Mbappé, and this year’s Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé.
