Orange Cyberdefense and Qevlar AI have formed a partnership to combat the growing number of cyberattacks across Africa.
As part of this collaboration, Qevlar AI will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into Orange Cyberdefense’s threat monitoring systems, enabling faster and more effective responses to cyber threats.
Frédéric Zink, Managing Director for France at Orange Cyberdefense, stated that the partnership will primarily focus on African markets such as Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon, and Egypt, where rapid digital transformation has made cyber resilience a national priority.

Orange Cyberdefense is one of the leading companies in the cybersecurity sector, protecting more than 50,000 organizations across over 160 countries worldwide.
The company operates 36 global detection centers that support its operations in Africa. These centers play a vital role in identifying complex cyberthreats that could compromise both corporate and national infrastructures.
This collaboration is expected to significantly enhance cybersecurity across the continent.
CYBERSECURITY INITIATIVES GROWING ACROSS THE CONTINENT
Similar efforts have become increasingly common across Africa in recent months. Last week, the National Cybersecurity Authority of Rwanda (NCSA), in collaboration with Cisco and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), launched CyberHub, a cybersecurity talent development and innovation center.
In September, Qatar-based Ooredoo Group partnered with software development company Innovatix Systems to deliver advanced cybersecurity services across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Additionally, Mastercard and digital identity verification provider Smile ID announced a strategic partnership to provide secure digital identity solutions across Africa.
