Orlando Pirates, who finished second in the South African Premier Division, have already started working to refresh and strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
Focusing primarily on the midfield, Pirates have agreed deals to sign Sihle Nduli from Stellenbosch FC on a free transfer and Sinoxolo Kwayiba from Chippa United.
Now, the club is looking to sign one of the best young forwards in the region — Prince Ndlovu. The young Zimbabwean trained with Pirates when he was just 16 years old. At the time, he was preparing for a move to Europe, but things did not work out as planned over the past two years.
Since then, the South African giants have been monitoring his progress closely. Now they are reportedly ready to take a serious step toward securing his signature.
Ndlovu is set to feature for the Zimbabwe national team in the upcoming COSAFA Cup matches, and Pirates are expected to scout him during the tournament.
However, overall impressions of the player have been very positive, and the transfer appears to be very close.
