Chelsea’s Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson has joined Bayern Munich on loan on the final day of the transfer window.
The German giants, seeking to strengthen their attacking options, will pay a €16.5m loan fee for the player.
The deal also includes a buy option. Should Bayern wish to make the move permanent, they will have to pay an additional €65m.
Jackson made a total of 81 appearances for Chelsea, contributing 30 goals. At Bayern, he is expected to serve as an alternative to English striker Harry Kane.
After completing his move, Jackson said:
“I’m really happy to now be part of this great club. Bayern is one of the best clubs in the world.”
“Everyone knows the names of the legends who have played here and knows that this club stands for the greatest success.”
“I have big goals and dreams here, and I will give my all to help Bayern win more trophies.”
