Napoli, who are set to sell Victor Osimhen, are now eyeing another Nigerian star.
The Serie A champions are targeting Ademola Lookman, the current CAF African Player of the Year.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, certain conditions must be met for the transfer to happen.
Napoli have identified Darwin Nunez and Lorenzo Lucca as their primary targets this summer. However, Liverpool are demanding around €60 million for Nunez, while Udinese are asking €30 million for Lucca.
As a result, Napoli may opt to sign Dan Ndoye from Bologna instead of Nunez to free up funds for Lookman. Still, major clubs like Juventus, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, and West Ham United are also interested in Lookman.
This makes the race for Lookman potentially much more difficult for Napoli than it initially appeared.
