Eliesse Ben Seghir, a young Moroccan talent who came through the ranks of AS Monaco’s youth academy, has attracted attention this season with his impressive performances.
According to reports, the 20-year-old winger is looking to leave the club. However, Monaco’s CEO, Thiago Scuro, has expressed his desire to keep the promising player at the club.
Unlike his teammate Maghnes Akliouche, who has received offers from major European clubs such as PSG, Manchester United, and Manchester City, Ben Seghir is considered not quite ready for the next step. So far, no official offers have been made for the Moroccan star by any top-tier clubs.
Speaking about a potential transfer, the club president said:
“Eliesse is under contract. In my opinion, he has all the conditions to be more consistent. The best thing for him is to stay in Monaco. He is not at the same level as Maghnes… his path is here.”
