AC Milan, one of the most storied clubs in Serie A, failed to meet expectations this season, finishing in 8th place.
As a result, they will not participate in any European competitions next season. Additionally, they were eliminated in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
Following a disappointing campaign, the club parted ways with head coach Sergio Conceicao and appointed Massimiliano Allegri as his replacement. However, this managerial change is not the only move Milan is planning.
During the summer transfer window, many players are expected to leave, and a complete squad overhaul is anticipated. One of the key areas set for a major reshuffle is the striker position.
To strengthen that role, Milan are keen on signing 24-year-old Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare, who currently plays for Genk. The young striker impressed this season, scoring 23 goals and providing 7 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
Milan are eager to secure his services, but they face stiff competition. Stuttgart, Benfica, and Manchester United have all shown interest in Arokodare. Moreover, the player is reportedly open to a move to Manchester United.
Because of this, the Italian giants will need to act quickly if they want to complete the transfer.
