Championship side Middlesbrough have signed young Ivorian midfielder Abdoulaye Kanté.
The English club agreed a five-year contract with the 20-year-old, although the transfer fee has not yet been disclosed.
Kanté is a current member of Ivory Coast’s Under-23 national team.
Before joining Middlesbrough, he played for French Ligue 2 side Troyes, where he made 47 appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
Primarily a defensive midfielder, the young talent has shown rapid development.
If his progress continues, he could move to a stronger club in the coming years.
Earlier in the summer transfer window, Middlesbrough also signed defender Alfie Jones from Hull City.
With the arrival of Abdoulaye Kanté, they have now completed their second signing of the summer.
