Galatasaray wants to sign their Nigerian star permanently as his loan spell nears its end. For this reason, the club is planning to offer the striker €15 million per year.
Osimhen has become a fan favorite over the past year, scoring an impressive 47 goals and providing 8 assists in 41 matches. Once his loan deal is completed, he is expected to return to Napoli—but Galatasaray plans to make a new offer at that point.
“WE DEVELOPED PROJECTS TO SIGN HIM”
Galatasaray Vice President Kavukçu had previously stated that they are ready to do whatever it takes to sign Osimhen permanently:
“In January, I spoke with our president about Osimhen.”
“We told him in January, ‘We want you very much, don’t go anywhere. We are working on your transfer.’ “
“We are developing projects for this. We developed these projects so we could sit at the table, and now we are at that table.”
“We are ready to secure his transfer and pay the salaries he earns in Europe.”
“THE NIGERIAN STAR COULD BE A FINANCIAL BURDEN FOR GALATASARAY”
This season, Osimhen earned €12 million at Galatasaray, but if the transfer becomes permanent and Napoli can be convinced, his new salary is expected to be around €15 million.
Napoli is demanding at least €70 million as a transfer fee for the Nigerian striker. If Galatasaray manages to complete the transfer, it appears the club will take on a significant financial burden.
The big question remains: Can Galatasaray handle the weight of such a massive financial commitment?
