Liberia will host a high-level trade and investment conference titled “Bridge to Prosperity” in the capital city of Monrovia from June 17-21, 2025. The event aims to attract leading U.S. investors and business leaders to explore opportunities in Liberia’s key economic sectors.
The five-day forum, organized by the Department of State in partnership with the National Investment Commission (NIC) and the Liberia Chamber of Commerce (LCC), is a key initiative within the country’s economic diplomacy strategy led by Foreign Minister H.E. Sara Beysolow Nyanti. The conference also aligns with the U.S. government’s renewed focus on business engagement in Africa.
The program will include panel discussions, networking sessions, investment site visits, and official briefings. U.S. companies will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with Liberian public and private sector leaders. A special reception hosted by the U.S. Ambassador to Liberia will further emphasize the importance of the growing economic partnership between the two countries.
The conference is also a key element of Liberia’s national development plan, the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID), which aims to accelerate economic growth through international investment. Sectors to be showcased include agriculture, energy, infrastructure, tourism, mining and digital innovation.
The event is expected to bring together senior government officials, U.S. trade delegations, development partners, business leaders and multilateral institutions. Organizers hope the conference will generate tangible investment commitments, leading to job creation, technology transfer and sustainable development.
With this initiative, Liberia aims to solidify its position as a strategic gateway for U.S. investors looking to enter the West African market.
