Fenerbahçe and Leeds United are competing to sign Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika.
The 23-year-old Nigeria international is not currently for sale, as his club, Club Brugge, is reluctant to let him go.
Fenerbahçe submitted an official offer of €12 million during this transfer window, but the Belgian side rejected it, considering the bid insufficient.
Following this development, English club Leeds United also entered the race for his signature.
However, there’s good news for Fenerbahçe: Leeds United has already spent over £30 million in this transfer window.
The club is also expected to invest in a goalkeeper, a number 10, and a striker. Therefore, it seems unlikely that they will allocate additional funds for the Nigerian midfielder.
Still, Onyedika may not join either club. It is known that Club Brugge wants to keep the player for at least one more season.
