Villarreal and Bologna are seriously interested in Nigerian striker Kevin Carlos Omoruyi, who currently plays for Swiss club FC Basel.
The 24-year-old forward, although born in Spain, has expressed his desire to represent the Nigerian national team at the international level.
Carlos is one of Villarreal’s top transfer targets, especially as the Spanish club looks to strengthen its attack with Thierno Barry expected to leave the team.
This season, Carlos made a total of 40 appearances, scoring 15 goals and providing 2 assists. His performances played a key role in helping Basel win both the Swiss Super League and the Swiss Cup.
Standing at 1.86 meters, the young striker is known for his physical strength and aerial ability. He is also a powerful finisher who can use both feet effectively. So far in his career, Carlos has played 132 matches and scored 50 goals.
Another club showing interest in him is Italian Serie A side Bologna.
The player’s future is expected to be decided in the coming weeks.
