Romania and Kenya have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in the field of digital security.
The agreement, signed by Kenya’s National Computer and Cybercrimes Coordination Committee (NC4) and Romania’s National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), covers areas such as information sharing, joint response to cybercrimes, and the development of advanced cybersecurity solutions.
Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy, Hon. William Kabogo Gitau, stated that the MoU represents both countries’ shared commitment to protecting themselves from evolving cyber threats.
Kabogo expressed his confidence in the partnership with the following words:
“Cooperation, rather than isolation, is the key to a safer and more resilient digital environment.”
He also emphasized that this partnership will promote innovation and help secure the digital economies of both Kenya and Romania.
