Kaizer Chiefs’ new signing for their attack, Etiosa Ighodaro, is expected to make a significant impact in the league, according to South African football legend Benedict “Tso” Vilakazi.
The 24-year-old forward has shown that this expectation could be realistic, scoring his first goal for Kaizer Chiefs against Simba in the CAF Confederation Cup.
In an interview with iDiski TV, Benedict “Tso” Vilakazi commented on Chiefs’ new striker:
“This player reminds me of my favorite player, [Lazarus] Kambole,” he said.
“He is going to finish teams, and people will still cry.”
Vilakazi also emphasized that Ighodaro fits a profile that Kaizer Chiefs truly needs.
“There are certain players you need in a team, whether they play or not. Ighodaro is a very important player for Kaizer Chiefs. Look at today’s score [Sunday]. When was the last time you saw Kaizer Chiefs win like this?” he added.
“When every player is given a chance, two things can happen: either the player will lift the game, or the player will drop the game.”
