The Republic of Guinea-Bissau has made significant progress in its efforts to digitally transform its healthcare system. One of the key steps was the official visit of Public Health Minister Engr.
Pedro Tipote to the headquarters of Antares Vision Group. The visit aimed to strengthen the strategic partnership agreement signed last February.
Both parties share a common goal: to build a healthcare ecosystem that ensures transparency and traceability across the pharmaceutical supply chain.
The project’s scope goes beyond pharmaceutical safety—it also aims to set a new standard for healthcare innovation across West Africa. At the heart of the collaboration lies Guinea-Bissau’s first national drug verification and traceability system, supported by advanced technologies from Antares Vision Group.
Thanks to this system, citizens will be able to verify medications and access accurate information digitally.
During the visit, discussions also took place regarding the establishment of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, which will initially focus on producing essential medicines.
Additionally, several meetings were held to improve pharmaceutical logistics, ensuring that surrounding countries can benefit positively from this development.
