Galatasaray have reached an agreement with Manchester City over the transfer of Akanji.
Having extended the contract of Davinson Sánchez, the yellow-reds aim to build a strong defensive line and deliver an effective performance in the Champions League.
For this reason, they are waiting for a positive response from the Nigerian-born Swiss defender. Although the official contract details have not yet been finalized, an agreement has been reached with Manchester City on all matters.
Following this move, Galatasaray will turn their attention to signing a goalkeeper. After that, they plan to strengthen the right-back and midfield positions.
The leading candidate for the goalkeeper position also comes from Manchester City. The Brazilian shot-stopper, who has guarded the posts of the English club for many years, is expected to reach an agreement with Galatasaray following Akanji’s transfer.
As for the third centre-back or right-back role, the name Wilfried Singo comes up frequently. If the transfer of the Ivorian player is completed, Galatasaray will possess a very strong defensive line for the Süper Lig.
