The semifinalists of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) have been decided. The quarterfinal games played on Sunday and Monday delivered unforgettable moments for basketball fans.
Libya’s powerhouse, Al Ahly Tripoli, who completed the group stage undefeated, dominated Cape Verde’s Kriol Stars with a commanding 107-81 victory.
Later the same day, Algeria’s Ittihad Alexandria faced Morocco’s FUS Rabat in a tightly contested match. The game ended 74-74 in regular time, but Ittihad Alexandria managed to secure an 86-83 win in overtime, proving they are not done yet.
On the following day, Rwanda’s APR crushed Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers with an emphatic 104-73 victory.
The final semifinal spot was claimed by Angola’s Petro de Luanda, who defeated Tunisia’s US Monastirienne 95-84.
The semifinal games will take place tomorrow. Al Ahly Tripoli will face APR at GMT 14:00, while Ittihad Alexandria will take on Petro de Luanda at GMT 17:00.
The winners of these matches will advance to the BAL final.
