In the World Cup qualifiers, the nine group winners from Africa will earn direct entry to the tournament.
However, the four best runners-up from the groups will have the opportunity to compete in a play-off.
It has been announced that Morocco will host these play-offs. Already set to co-host the 2030 World Cup, Morocco is once again showcasing its presence on the global football stage with this event.
The teams that will qualify for the play-offs are not yet confirmed; they will be finalized after the completion of the group stage tomorrow.
The play-offs will take place on 13 November with two semifinals and 16 November with a final match. One of these four teams will secure a place in the World Cup. However, the venues for the matches have not yet been officially confirmed.
Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, and Ghana have already secured their spots in the World Cup.
The leaders of four groups are still undecided, and along with the team advancing from the play-offs, five more African teams are expected to qualify for the World Cup.
