The Round of 16 matchups have been confirmed at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Following the conclusion of the group stage, three African teams have advanced to the knockout round. Nigeria will face a tough challenge against Argentina, while Morocco, one of the standout teams of the tournament, will take on South Korea. South Africa is set to meet Colombia in their Round of 16 clash.
The tournament consists of six groups, with the top two teams from each group and the three best third-placed teams advancing to the next stage.
In Group A, Japan remained unbeaten and topped the group with 9 points, while Chile finished second with 3 points, edging through on goal difference.
In Group B, Ukraine claimed first place with 7 points, and Paraguay secured second with 4 points. Despite finishing third, South Korea advanced as one of the best third-placed teams.
From Group C, group leaders Morocco, along with Mexico and Spain, all booked their places in the Round of 16. In Group D, unbeaten Argentina and Italy also advanced.
In Group E, the United States, South Africa, and France each collected 6 points to move on to the next round. Finally, Colombia, Norway, and Nigeria completed the list of teams progressing to the Round of 16.
