Nigerian star Moses Simon has decided not to renew his contract with French club Nantes.
Having been with the team since 2019, Simon rose to the position of vice-captain due to his strong performances and leadership.
In 198 appearances for Nantes, Simon has scored 36 goals and provided 41 assists, and this season, he ranks 3rd in the Ligue 1 assist standings with 9 assists, drawing attention in France.
Despite being such an important player for the club, Simon is determined not to extend his contract, which runs until 2026.
According to French media outlet Foot Sur7, the Nigerian player is looking for a transfer, and Everton is working to bring him into their squad before the summer transfer window.
It is reported that Simon has given the green light for a move to the Premier League. Nantes is expecting a transfer fee close to €15 million for the player.
