Morocco- and France-based urban mobility startup Enakl has raised $1.4 million to provide smart, safe, and sustainable public transportation solutions for daily commutes across Africa.
The company aims to reduce both traffic congestion and carbon emissions through its innovative transport system.
Enakl’s main focus is home-to-work commuting, ensuring that its services remain both affordable and accessible.
During its pilot phase, the company has successfully handled over 15,000 bookings per month, achieving nearly 20% monthly growth.
However, this success is not enough for Enakl. The company plans to expand into other African cities, aiming to spread safe, affordable, and eco-friendly transportation options across the continent.
Co-founders Samir Bennani and Charles Pommarede shared insights about their future projects:
“This funding allows us to deepen our impact in Casablanca, extend our reach, and accelerate the development of our technology. We will use AI to optimize routes, improve the commuter experience, and advance sustainable urban mobility solutions.”
