Despite struggling with injuries this season, Victor Boniface remains a valuable striker, and English club Newcastle United have shown strong interest in him.
The 24-year-old has managed to score 11 goals and provide 2 assists in 27 appearances this season.
The Nigerian forward is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2028. Boniface is known for using his physicality well and is capable of creating goal-scoring opportunities for himself with ease. However, he sometimes struggles to maintain consistency.
Boniface is also effective in the air, but one of his weaknesses is his inability to link up play efficiently in the final third. Because of this, adapting to the high-intensity Premier League could be a challenge for him.
Nevertheless, with his quality, Boniface could bring a lot to Eddie Howe’s squad and potentially become a regular starter for Newcastle. He is still young and has plenty of room for development.
If given the right environment, Boniface could elevate his performance to the next level at Newcastle United. However, his adaptation may take time, so fans and the coaching staff must be patient with his progress.
