The semi-final matches of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), featuring African stars playing in local leagues, will be held today.
In the quarter-finals, Madagascar drew 1-1 with Kenya but advanced by winning on penalties. Their semi-final opponents will be Sudan, who eliminated Algeria on penalties.
The other semi-final will see Morocco, who defeated Tanzania 1-0, face Senegal, who beat Uganda 1-0.
Following today’s matches, the final will take place on August 30 in Nairobi.
A day earlier, in Kampala, the teams that lose in the semi-finals will compete in the third-place playoff.
The Madagascar vs. Sudan match will be played in Dar es Salaam, while the Morocco vs. Senegal match will take place in Kampala.
