Chad and Burkina Faso have established a strategic partnership to advance technology, strengthen inter-institutional connections, and enhance knowledge sharing.
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering (2iE) in Burkina Faso hosted a ceremony attended by the Chadian Agency for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies (ADETIC).
During the event, the two parties signed a Mutual Cooperation Framework Agreement. According to the agreement, 2iE will provide training to Chadian executives in strategic areas such as artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
Meanwhile, 2iE students will have the opportunity to gain professional experience by interning within Chad’s digital ecosystem under the guidance of ADETIC.
In addition, joint applied research projects will be launched, focusing on sustainable development, digital governance, and local innovation.
The agreement between the two institutions is said to lay the foundation for a new model aimed at training professionals capable of creating solutions to Africa’s challenges.
