The Algerian League (LFP) has joined the World Leagues Association (WLA). Founded in 2010, the 16-team league has become the 46th member of the organization.
The WLA stated that this membership will offer Algeria “opportunities to exchange expertise, share best practices, and benefit from the experience of the World Leagues Association.”
The membership agreement was signed by Mohamed Amine El Mesloug, President of the Algerian LFP, and Richard Masters, Chairman of the World Leagues Association.
LFP President El Mesloug said,
“We look forward to working closely with the WLA and its members to strengthen professional football in Algeria and contribute to the development of the game both in Algeria and globally.”
Following the ceremony held at the WLA offices in London, the LFP presented its ongoing efforts to professionalize Algerian football.
