Africa’s largest technology fair will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from November 11 to 13.
More than 15,000 technology leaders, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs are expected to attend the 28th Africa Tech Festival. The event will feature key sectors such as telecommunications, connectivity solutions, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data centers, green information technologies, and the media-entertainment industry.
AFRICACOM, AFRICATECH, AFRICAIGNITE, AND AI SUMMIT CAPE TOWN
Over 500 speakers will participate in the festival, sharing their insights across four integrated programs. Discussions will focus on how to advance the continent’s digital transformation. These four programs are AfricaCom, AfricaTech, AfricaIgnite, and AI Summit Cape Town.
AfricaCom will bring together leaders in telecommunications, connectivity, and infrastructure. AfricaTech will focus on technological innovation and corporate growth. AfricaIgnite will highlight the impact of startups and entrepreneurship on the continent, while the AI Summit Cape Town will explore the commercial applications of artificial intelligence.
FOCUS ON CYBERSECURITY AND CLOUD RESILIENCE
This year’s festival will place particular emphasis on cybersecurity and cloud resilience. Considering that 90% of African countries lack the capacity to effectively combat cybercrime and that cyberattacks are on the rise, the continent’s efforts to find swift and effective solutions are seen as both necessary and rational.
EMPOWERING WOMEN IN TECHNOLOGY
A special session on November 12 titled “Empowering Women in Cybersecurity: Overcoming Barriers and Building Leadership” will address the underrepresentation of women in the tech sector. The program emphasizes that diversity contributes to stronger security and more inclusive product design.
The Africa Tech Festival is regarded as a major opportunity to accelerate the continent’s digital transformation and showcase Africa’s growing potential in the global technology landscape.
