Simba, who are in the race for the Tanzanian league title, took the lead in the 22nd minute with Elie Mpanzu’s goal. Just 10 minutes later, Steven Mukwala doubled the lead. Al Masry could not respond to these goals, and despite leading, Simba continued to push for more goals.

The match went to penalties, and Constantine, who have been struggling in the league, won the shootout and advanced to the next round.
