The AFCON U-20 tournament continues with great excitement. This past weekend, a total of four matches were played.
Sierra Leone, who made a strong start to the tournament, defeated Tanzania 1-0. With this victory, they remain unbeaten except for a single draw against Zambia. Sierra Leone now sits at the top of Group A with 7 points.
In the other Group A match, Egypt played to a goalless draw against Zambia. Following this result, Egypt has collected only 4 points from their first three games, putting pressure on them in the race for the next round.
Group B matches were also held today. Tunisia claimed a convincing home win against Kenya, scoring three goals—one of which came from the penalty spot. Kenya managed to respond with just one goal, ending the match 3-1 in favor of Tunisia.
In the final game of the day, Nigeria and Morocco faced off in a tight contest that ended in a 0-0 draw. While both teams are level on points and goal difference, Morocco holds the top spot in the group thanks to their advantage in away goals.
