Türkiye is continuing to deepen its relations with African countries under its “win-win” foreign policy approach. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to visit Addis Ababa in the first half of February at the invitation of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
The planned visit comes as Türkiye’s concrete steps to support stability in the Horn of Africa have drawn international attention and appreciation. Erdoğan’s trip is expected to further strengthen political dialogue and cooperation between the two countries, building on Ankara’s expanding diplomatic, economic, and security engagement across the African continent.
Türkiye has in recent years significantly increased its presence in Africa through high-level visits, development cooperation, trade partnerships, and mediation efforts, positioning itself as a key external partner for regional stability and development.
