In the tough Champions League clash between Galatasaray and Ajax, Nigerian star Victor Osimhen shone brightly by scoring a hat-trick that secured victory for his team.
After a goalless first half, Osimhen netted three goals in the second — two of them from penalties — to complete his hat-trick.
With this performance, the Nigerian striker reached a total of six goals, making him the current top scorer after four matchweeks. Moreover, if he scores in three more consecutive matches, he will equal Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for scoring in the most consecutive Champions League games.
Following this 3-0 victory, Galatasaray have now collected nine points from four matches, gaining a crucial advantage in their pursuit of a spot in the top eight.
If Osimhen maintains this form, Galatasaray could leave a significant mark on this year’s Champions League.
